The dramatic and enduring design of the Omega Constellation is characterized by its famous half-moons, as well as the “claws” on the side of the case.
This 41 mm stainless steel model features a polished black ceramic bezel with Roman numerals in Liquidmetal, a silk-embossed rhodium-grey dial and a date window at the 6 o’clock position. The hands, Omega logo, Constellation star and facetted indexes are all blackened.
This timepiece is driven by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8900, visible through the domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. This is a self-winding movement with a Co-Axial escapement, a free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, and two mainspring barrels mounted in series maintaining 60 hours of power reserve. It is finished with a rhodium-plated rotor and bridges with Geneva waves in arabesque. It is also a certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, and resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss.
Presented on a leather strap with rubber lining, but those who prefer an overall metallic look can match this watch with any bracelet in the 39mm Constellation collection.
